Middle school students' bullying behaviors in relation to stress levels were examined in this study, along with the potential moderating variables of gender and grade level. In order to achieve this, the Olweus Child Bullying Questionnaire (OBVQ) secondary school version, alongside a stressor scale for secondary school students, was used to survey 3566 secondary school students in Guizhou Province, and the resulting data was statistically analyzed. Stress was determined to be a significant and positive predictor of school bullying among secondary school students. Beyond that, gender and grade level jointly affected the correlation between stress and school bullying, demonstrating a higher incidence of bullying among boys in middle school relative to girls in high school. The study's findings offer a foundational understanding for tackling and preventing bullying among middle school students.

The objective of the study was to examine the subjectively experienced difficulties and challenges in work organization faced by healthcare workers during the pandemic.
Participants, 27 in total (20 women, 7 men), engaged in a qualitative research project for durations of 30-45 minutes. Data analysis using thematic methods was performed on the results of semi-structured interviews, which were conducted for a specified duration.
A torrent of changes engulfed research participants during the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, affecting all key domains of life, and creating general uncertainty, confusion in workplace dynamics, and substantial adjustments to job roles, responsibilities, and workload. In virtually all assessments, laissez-faire leadership is considered the most ineffective style of leadership. However, a limited selection of current studies have revealed that a non-directive leadership approach may exert a moderate or even a substantial constructive impact on the productivity of subordinate employees. This study, in an attempt to resolve the inconsistent findings regarding laissez-faire leadership, integrates stress and achievement goal theories to explore the mediating factors and underlying mechanisms affecting the link between laissez-faire leadership, subordinate cognitive appraisal, and subsequent work performance outcomes. Data collected over ten consecutive workdays from 68 supervisor-subordinate dyads, participating in an experience sampling study via daily surveys, revealed: (1) A positive association between laissez-faire leadership and hindrance appraisal was observed among subordinates with high learning goal orientation, coupled with a negative indirect relationship between laissez-faire leadership and subordinate performance through hindrance appraisal; and (2) A positive association between laissez-faire leadership and challenge appraisal was found among subordinates with high performance-prove or performance-avoid goal orientation, with a concurrent positive indirect impact on subordinate performance via challenge appraisal. The current research identifies a double-edged sword effect of laissez-faire leadership at the individual level, contributing to a more integrated understanding of previous findings and providing a more nuanced, balanced perspective on its influence.

A substantial volume of academic work points to a possible link between social networking site (SNS) use and the adoption of environmentally friendly consumer choices. While research demonstrates that not all social networking service activities produce equivalent effects, a more nuanced understanding of the link between a specific type of SNS usage and eco-conscious consumption, as well as the causal processes involved, demands additional investigation. Acute care medicine This research investigated the relationship between active social media use and green consumption by examining a moderated mediation model, drawing on self-awareness theory to identify the underlying processes. Two complementary surveys, one offline with 210 respondents and one online with 348 respondents, were implemented. Public self-consciousness and impression management are crucial in the context of social media activity and its impact on green consumption, where the former mediates the relationship between the two. This study on the impact of active social media use on green consumption contributes to the existing body of literature by investigating the relationship between these two phenomena, enriching the understanding of the drivers behind green consumption. Future investigations into socially responsible consumption will be considerably influenced by these results.

In the wake of February 2022, 78 million people have been displaced from Ukraine. A significant eighty percent of the population are women and children. In Italy, this pioneering quali-quantitative study is the first to explore the challenges of adaptation and the resources available to refugee parents, which consequently affect their children. This investigation further examines the influence of neuropsychopedagogical training on their overall well-being. The sample includes 15 Ukrainian parents (80% mothers) who were 34 years old on average, and who arrived in Italy between March and April 2022. The parents benefited from neuropsychopedagogical training, a component of the Envisioning the Future (EF) program's 10 Keys to Resilience. A specifically designed, ad-hoc checklist was completed by participants to detect potential difficulties in the adjustment period before the training. The training was followed by a three-item post-training questionnaire about the course and a semi-structured interview concerning adaptation difficulties, personal resources, and the impact of the neuropsychopedagogical training. Participants, having left Ukraine, report encountering sleep, mood, and concentration problems, alongside specific fears that they also observed in their children. Self-efficacy, self-esteem, social support, spirituality, and appreciation for shared humanity are the primary resources they claim to possess. Participants noted a significant improvement in their feelings of security, sleep quality, and the appearance of more positive thoughts, all attributable to the training. The training program's positive influence, discernible in the interviews, encompasses three key areas: behavioral, emotional-relational, and cognitive-narrative development.

Typologically, the cross-linguistic presentation of light verb constructions (LVCs) stands out as a substantial differentiating factor between Chinese and English. This study investigates the effectiveness and diversity of translation strategies within a contextualized, theory-driven consecutive interpreting task. It uses 12 target LVCs from a Chinese-to-English consecutive interpreting test to determine applicable techniques for Chinese English-as-a-foreign-language (EFL) learners (N=66). 12 LVC segments and 9 strategies are used to calculate appropriate rates and entropy values that indicate the variability of strategy selection. Bio-nano interface A correlation analysis of vocabulary knowledge and learner vocabulary component (LVC) rates is applied to assess how well learners' vocabulary knowledge translates into their interpretation performance. The results illustrate the usual strategies preferred by Chinese EFL learners in their selection process, along with the typical structural patterns in their LVC translations. The luminosity of light verbs inversely influences the effectiveness and uniformity of strategic selection procedures; vocabulary proficiency positively correlating with the proper rates of light verb constructions, underscores the significance of integrating constructional pedagogy within the EFL curriculum. The strategies are proposed to be applied given the favorable circumstances.
